A machine designed to churn out the most expected words writes copy that’s boring, inaccurate, tonally off and (the worst part) completely ignorable. Gen AI and creatives who rely on it are not the answer.

    Effective messaging sometimes needs to zig when you expect it to zag. That’s poetry. That’s power. A nanosecond of dissonance that tickles the human brain and makes a person focus on you is often all you need, right?

    Only a human can understand not only your needs and goals but what makes you interesting and different; to tell your story in a way you never imagined. It’s a big world out there. You deserve to work with people who actually see you and what you’re about and are then able to write for your present and future customer.

    Consistent. Trustworthy. Engaging. Load-bearing elements of an effective brand, yet gen AI can never seem to get them right. A good brand voice tweaks something in your customer’s brain and sparks an emotional connection that draws them right to you.

    Wait, who’s this guy?

    For now, Human Mind Creative is just me, Jeff Morris, an experienced, dependable, and very, very human copywriter and editor. My background is in storytelling so I understand the subtle ways cadence, rhythm, and word choice can poke and prod the reader in different ways. I’m good at connecting the dots (thanks, ADHD!), communicating challenging subjects, and taking the right amount of risks. I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

    Some of my clients and employers have included: Vancouver Film School, World Cancer Day, Access Accelerated in partnership with the World Bank, the Vancouver Art Gallery, and the BC Centre for Disease Control. I work with clients of all shapes and sizes, and I have a special interest working with meaningful causes.
